welcome to my playbook, i’m ashlei johnson.
Volleyball has been a huge part of my life since I was 11, shaping my resilience, mental toughness, and determination both on and off the court. At 16, I added a new role: coach. That move completely changed my perspective. I fell in love with developing young athletes, helping them grow their confidence, skills, and passion for the game just like I did.
Now, as the Director of Boys Volleyball at Atlanta Extreme, I’ve expanded my playbook beyond just the court. I’ve taken on everything from marketing and social media strategy to graphic design and video editing, blending creativity with sports leadership. My goal? To build a culture and legacy that allows for athletes, brands, and creatives to thrive.
Off the court, I’m a Sport Management major at Kennesaw State University, graduating in May 2026, and I’m constantly looking for new ways to grow. Whether it’s designing engaging content or finding new ways to promote the sport I love, I’m always ready for the next challenge.

Just like reading the court, I’ve learned how to read an audience. I started as a coach at Suwanee Sports Academy, but leveled up to Social Media Lead, driving program focused initiatives to promote internal programs within the MySport department. At Atlanta Extreme, I generated over 30K engagements in my first month and another 30K the next, creating content for the entire club and leading short-form media efforts. I love being able to promote programs, build brand and customer relationships, and provide that family-focused feeling that sports naturally create.

I’m proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, and other editing tools, producing both short and long-form content that stands out. I’ve developed a reputation for quick turnarounds and high-quality visuals, earning consistent satisfaction from individual clients and team projects. Whether it’s a hype reel or a clean graphic, I focus on creating content that accommodate today’s sports audience.

Coaching has been my foundation since age 16, and it’s where my leadership really grew. I’ve coached athletes across multiple levels, from youth to varsity, helping each player find their confidence and their game. My first club team started the season on a losing streak but finished winning silver bracket championships at regionals, proving what belief, communication, and effort can do. Coaching taught me how to lead with both structure and empathy to give my players the opportunity to grow not just as players, but individuals.

Through my time at Suwanee Sports and AEVC I’ve also been able to develop skills in a variety of programs. Using tools like Mailchimp, I’ve built campaigns that drive clicks, sign-ups, and engagement. I track analytics here and through Social Media to keep programs growing and evolving. Whether it’s through a newsletter, an announcement, or content, I aim to create clear communication that strengthens connection to help everyone win.
